#Mayllennial – Unprecedented Times

Welcome to Day 3, the topic today is of course Sailor Moon Fansites. Or maybe its "Unprecedented times." I think there is probably a meme for this somewhere. Oh wait, here it is. Aside from the "before 40" bit. Because technically I am like, right on the edge of Millennial and Gen X. Also this meme is a few years old so its probably missing some shit. I am not real sure where this one is going to go, but there is a good chance I really get going here. Something something US Pol. If you aren't a dumbass MAGA…

Weekly Wrap Up (2026.05.02)

Weee, what a pain of a week, literally. On Monday it rained, not long, but very heavy. We have had small water events in the basement, but it mostly just runs to the floor drain in the less finished half and maybe I have to throw down some towels on the more finished half. This round, the floor drain wasn't working. Plus the heavy rain. We had a major backup, thankfully mostly affecting the less finished half. I actually can't believe if filled so fast given how small the usual water trickles tend to be. I had checked it when…

#Mayllennial – Digital Pets

Day two of this month long writing challenge, how long shall I last?! Actually, this one could maybe be short. Because its "Digital Pets.". I was never really into Digital Pets, I guess? I had a Digimon Digivice, but I don't think I ever had a real Tamagotchi. On the other hand, I was into Pokemon. Like, a lot. In yesterday's "90s websites" post, I mentioned The Chaos Xone. My other website baby at the time was The Geocities Sailor Moon Fanpage Center. I mean, The Geocities Pokemon Center. Like, I liked Pokemon enough that I created my second website…

#Mayllennial – 90’s Websites

Today's topic, 90s Websites. I can, definitely attest to this one, I spent a lot of the 90s online. Hell, I have spent a lot of my life online. But I also ran some 90s websites. Back before wordpress and social media and micro-posting. There was not even a place to share. We didn't even really have RSS to keep up on things. I feel like I have mentioned it before, but this site started out as a 90s site on Geocities called The Chaos Xone. Because in the 90s, X was Xool like that. It's a versatile letter, it…

Get ready for a month of daily posts! Seriously, I have already written all most some of them. I came across this random Bluesky Skeet that was reposted by someone I follow. All of the topics seemed pretty doable and maybe interesting. Also, depending on how you slice it, I am technically on the bleeding front edge of Millennial. I certainly sympathize a lot more with Millennials I think, though I also don't really subscribe to the while Boomer Gen X Gen Y, Gen Z nonsense. I was also at the moment in a very weird funk of really kind…

Weekly Wrap Up (2026.04.18)

Its an exciting week, as people keep mentioning, in the US, it was April 15th, which is known to all, far and wide as… my wedding anniversary. It was a big one, 20 years. We… didn't really do anything, for a variety of reasons, mostly just, she doesn't do well going out to eat or to events. So we just ate breakfast for supper and then watched some Orphan Black. We did end up going out for lunch earlier today. What's a few days late? TV We are very close to finshing up Orphan Black. My daughter wants to watch…

Weekly Wrap Up (2026.03.28)

I had an amusing moment with Amazon. And it happened again earlier today. I was ordering my Omeprazole, and it says it will come tomorrow. OR, for $3 more, it will come tomorrow. I had a previous order already coming, but it seems the shipping times were not related because I made another order today and it presented the same options. As for the other orders. The dryer randomly stopped working. Its been making a funny clicking noise for a while on the selector dial, and I have replaced it previously, so I ordered a new dial, its a cheap…
