Welcome to Blaugust edition. I’m not doing a welcome post, I’ve already done that at least once or twice or maybe thrice now, the basic premise is the same. Something something blog technically from like 1999 on Geocities, something something Ramen Junkie all over the web, something something I supposedly write rambling reviews when I am not kind of irritated and a little bummed out over everything being shitty.
But Saturday isn’t for Blaugust intros, Saturday is for weekly wrap ups, where I make commentary about shit I did or bought this week. It’s the only thing I seem to be able to regularly post anymore, Though I will… try… for Blaugust. This sort of started as weekly gaming on Lameazoid, and then a dead blog Blogging Intensifies had a weekly wrap up, and when I killed BI and merged it’s content here, I just merged the two posts into one.
Unfortunately, this week was annoying uneventful, so this is a terrible intro post week. I didn’t do any projects or buy anything new, which is what I usually talk about in these.
Instead I got sick, and sicker, and awful. I have this annoying skin thing that comes up sometimes gets bad, well this time it got bad bad, and was on my back where its hard to reach to treat. I got an antibiotic shot and pills Thursday evening and spent most of Friday asleep. The increasing build up before also had me sleeping like shit. Its kind of bulldozed my vague hopes of actually pre writing some posts for Blaugust.
Music
The second to last free concert at the MCCD (Macon County conservation District) was last Sunday. A local group called The Back Porch Trio. They were pretty decent, but it was more or less all just guitar covers of classic folksy rock and classic country. Like, 70s and 80s country and light rock sort of songs.
Nothing new this week, I almost bought a few things but next week is Bandcamp Friday, and its a payday, so I will probabky get some new tracks next week. Bandcamp Friday is a speciap day, not every, but the first friday of some months, where Bandcamp forgoes its cut, so artists get everything you pay. I prefer to buy from Bandcamp on Bandcamp Fridays.

Video Games
I am still stuck on the Droid Factory grind. They added some microtransaction features, which will inevitably lead to the downfall of this mode I am sure.
I tried a new Digimon mobile game Digimon Up a bit, but its… kind of weird and you don’t really DO anything except open boxes and keep or sell the items. The items boost stats. Except becsuse I joined early at launch, the game gave me a special Patamon outfit that far outclasses every other outfit piece. So its mostly just open boxes and sell stuff.
TV
We went back to watching SWAT. And got to Season 4, which is “the COVID Season.”. Its been weird at first, and you can definitely tell they are shooting scenes differently. The first episode was also a nice little tribute to Rodney King and George Floyd (and others) and a statement against police violence. But then the second episode was a lot more weird, like they shuffled things after shooting because of the George Floyd incident. The whole thing was all, people on video calls, and they were doing this stake out in the desert for the whole episode, outdoors, plenty of space to be seperated. They did make a comment abvout the bad guy being extra careful when traveling and how it’s “hard to be inconspicuous with no cars on the road” or something like that.
And Luca is gone again. The excuse is he is stuck oversears due to lock down, which may even be the truth honestly.
