Horizon Zero Dawn Aloy

Horizon Zero Dawn Aloy

This line of Playstation based figures kind of felt like it came out of nowhere a month or so ago for pre order. Most of them look pretty cool but I don't really play most of the games and have no real attachments to most of the characters. I do however really like Aloy's look and was at the time, playing Horizon Zero Dawn on the PC. She seemed like a good choice to try out the line. I was a little worried before receiving the figure itself. The actual company making these is Spin Master, which makes more, young…
Transformers X TMNT – Party Wallop

Transformers X TMNT – Party Wallop

I have lost track of how many of these crossover Transformers we have gotten but it's a pretty neat line that for the most part has been done pretty well. I particularly like that they are mostly original molds. It feels like it would have been easy to just do some mediocre repaints. I suppose making actual meaningful molds was probably part of the deal for getting some of these IPs. The TMNT crossover is pretty good, it's not perfect, but I like it. Party Wallop definitely has the "Ninja Turtle" look in Robot mode, with a few spots of…
Bring Arts – Final Fantasy VII – Aerith Gainsborough

Bring Arts – Final Fantasy VII – Aerith Gainsborough

I just want to put out front here, Aerith, is not my favorite Final Fantasy VII character. In fact, she is probably on the bottom, by quite a bit. Like, I have a few favorites (Yuffie, Cait Sith, Cid) and everyone else is a bit below that in a plane, and then there is Aerith. But considering I plan to get everyone else from this line, it would be lame to leave out Aerith. Especially because, though I dislike her, she is, very much, central to the plot. I mean, aside from Cloud and Sephiroth, you could remove almost any…
Action Toys – Voltron Vehicle Force

Action Toys – Voltron Vehicle Force

Everyone knows the classic Voltron version with its 5 lions. There have been a few versions from the Stealth Voltron and Netflix Voltron and the newer Modern Voltron. There was also an additional team though that was made up of 15 vehicles, divided into three teams, colloquially called, "Vehicle Voltron." Like the Lions, it was based on a Japanese series, in this case, Dairugger XV. I have always really loved the Vehicle Voltron design, even though the Lions always got all the love. Ok, more specifically, I like the combined mode design more, the separated designs are, kind of lame…
BringArts – Final Fantasy VII – Tifa Lockhart

BringArts – Final Fantasy VII – Tifa Lockhart

I probably don't really need to reiterate my overall criticisms of this line from my Cloud write-up. I will add that, I was inspired to start this line when I saw Wave 2 had Yuffie, who is my favorite character from the game. But this Tifa looked super great and was part of what pushed me to go ahead and get the rest of them. That and Cid and Cait Sith both look great, and kind of round out my top 3 of this game. Tifa was harder to find though. Since I was starting with the announcement of the…
