Project – Raspberry Pi – Webcam Project and Updating Pihole

On my little list of projects, I mentioned a webcam set up. My wife asked me about something for monitoring the cats while we are out. The ideal place would be in the front room area. I have plenty of Pis floating around and an extra Logitech cam, but I also already have one Pi in that area running my PiHole. There isn't any reason I couldn't attach the cam, to that Pi. It ended up being a bit more work than expected, but not really for any negative reasons. I found an easy guide for setting up Motion on…

Partly for my own organization (ha ha) I wanted to run down some projects I have been doing or hope to do soon. GOG Download Its taken like a week and a half, but I have finally finished downloading roughly 500 games, 2TB of files, for all of the games I own on GOG. I have even installed an played a few of them. Interestingly enough, they snap right into the GOG launcher, which is nice. Now that I've run it once I can just do an update then download to get any updates and new games once a month…

I mean, I knew it would be shitty. I didn't think it was going to be THIS relentlessly shitty, this quickly. Lets take a peek inside the background at some journal topics here... Or not. Lets try to, I dunno, be positive I guess. Whats been going on lately that is not awful. Learning Like last year, I started doing some leader-led training courses after work…

Weekly Wrap Up (11.17.2024 to 11.24.2024)

I started posting these, a while back but they kind of fell by the wayside. I guess some of it just got covered in regular posting, and some of it ends up on the other blog, if I bother. Probably, I decided I didn't really care. But maybe I should care. So here we are. I have actually done a few of my "wishlist todo" projects this week. I have recently been hardcore digging through my too many bookmarks problem in Firefox. This has been an ongoing effort for a few months now, but I started on a phase two…
The Shop

The Shop

So lately I have been a bit busy in the background helping my wife and daughter with a big project. They are opening up a vintage clothing store. They already sell online, but they are now working on opening a physical store as well. Technically, my daughter is opening up a store, and my wife is going to be running her online stuff out of the back. They have talked off and on about renting or buying a space and found a location a few months ago that fits their needs and budget. They have done a lot more of…
