It's that time again, when I ramble on about what I've been listening to this year.  I don't use Spotify so I don't have a "cool kids" wrap up to share.  Instead you get this!  A blog post!  And some little 5x5 charts made from my Last.fm.  I kind of prefer starting on Artists over Albums, so without further ado, the top 25 for 2022.  Which unsurprisingly, is relatively similar to my previous years. It seems like my brief run (of 2) concerts where I was standing up front couldn't last forever. I was close, but I was not right up front for the Aurora show. Not a massive deal, except I ended up behind this dude with poofy hair, so I couldn't see half the stage half the time. But I'm not really here to complain. It's time again for my new favorite annual tradition here (until it isn't), my music listening habits for the year. Not a lot of new this year, I'll admit that. Back in 2019 after going to see Sigrid live, I decided I really wanted to go to more concerts. I even started planning to maybe try to go to Lollapalooza at some point. CHVRCHES - Screen Violence Cover Released - 2021.08.27 Note: I started on a general CHVRCHES write up I intended to post first but because I am a slacker, I didn't finish it yet. My Music Listening Habits for 2020

Yeah, those monthly updates were kind of bleh, so I dumped them. But I still want to do a yearly wrap up. Though overall there isn't a lot that's surprising to me about the yearly stats. The year was dominated by most of the artists I would expect it to be dominated by. Sigrid, Tessa Violet, Aurora, CHVRCHES have 14 of my top 25 albums. My Music Listening Habits for April 2020

Well, it finally happened. After a very long, very strong, 9 month reign as Queen, Sigrid has been dethroned from my top artist for the month. And by a rather huge margin. Funny enough, she has been dethroned by someone she knows, who is also a Norwegian singer, AURORA.
