New Desktop PC

New Desktop PC

My new desktop I mentioned at the end of my last post arrived. I am fairly good about adjusting my workflow when changes or upgrades happen, but this particular change in it's nature, is incredibly disruptive. My whole process kind of stems out from a source, which for the most part, is either my laptop or my desktop. If I were to get a new laptop, not much would change. Most of that workflow runs off of shared drives or cloud files. On the base level, the desktop works the same way, the real trick I get to deal with…
My Music Listening Habits for 2020

My Music Listening Habits for 2020

Yeah, those monthly updates were kind of bleh, so I dumped them. But I still want to do a yearly wrap up. Though overall there isn't a lot that's surprising to me about the yearly stats. The year was dominated by most of the artists I would expect it to be dominated by. Sigrid, Tessa Violet, Aurora, CHVRCHES have 14 of my top 25 albums. Endlessly Learning

One thing I have always done in my life is worked to constantly be learning something. It may not actually be a useful something, but it's something. Back when I was finishing up my degree in 2003, I was telling people that I wanted to get the RA job in the dorms so I could just live there for the rest of my life taking classes. Granted, the RA position only meant your room was covered, I don't think it covered any of the course work expense. Fortunately, we live in a world of connected possibilities, or whatever buzz word…

Reading for April 2020

So, yeah, I missed a few months. I also didn't actually finish any books in those two months, so it's kind of a non issues. I didn't really finish a ton fo books this month wither, but hey, progress is progress. Transformers The Manga Volume 1 So, technically this one was a March read. This is the first of (I believe 2) collections of the old Transformers G1 Manga from Japan. It's honestly, really weird, and kind of awful, but it's also charming for both of these reasons. The stories are all more or less self contained. They all have…
