Letterboxed

There is a dude in this nammed Reggie, who Has one other acting credit as Reggie in Bad Boys 2 and I kind of can’t get over that.

Otherwise it’s an alright action movie that feels like it wants to pass the torch from its original, aging, pair but fails to do so in any real meaningful way. Will Smith does alright but Martin Lawrence, while enjoyable, feels like he kind of doesn’t want to be there anymore.

This movie is 3 pretty good movie concepts, shoved in a blender, to produce one pretty shitty movie.

An interesting layered premise that is fairly easy to catch though not spelled out until the end. The non-end itself was also sort of pre-predicted by one of the movies several self referencing jokes.

It was ok but is this really the movie everyone was ranting about?

It’s a “Dog Movie” and a “Life of Movie”, and hits all of the expected emotional drops you would think of when you think of those films.
It’s not bad, it’s just generally fairly bland and predictable overall. There is some vague backdrop of fast cars and racing but it’s very much a lose backdrop behind the life and times story.
