It’s not bad but I wanted to like this so much more. It’s just kind of… Wandering and feels kind of random. The climax was particularly bad and it mostly just felt like the movie wasn’t sure what story it wanted to tell. At it’s core, it’s basically a set up to introduce Natasha’s sister, but it doesn’t feel like it pushed that angle as much as it should have.

It honestly flows and works pretty well for a toy commercial. Well except for the inconsistent time it takes to travel back and forth from Cybertron to Earth and somehow no one ever noticed Planet Junk or Planet Quintesson during all those trips before.
It works even better if you ignore that there was a cartoon surrounding it and the movie is literally designed to kill off all the old toys and replace them with the new toys.
