Robin Hood, 2018 – ★★½
I didn't hate this film like everyone else seems to, but its cheezy like a Fast and Furious movie. I kind of like the idea behind the "modern medieval" style. It does have some weirdness. Like what if Azeem and Little John were the same person? Or when the guards push the fire out of the way with their riot shields. Or how bos and crossbows are reated like guns. Or the set up for a sequel I suppose.
Happy Death Day 2U, 2019 – ★★★½
I enjoyed both of these movies much more than I expected and they both had some good comedy bits. I am actually looking for the inevitable, "Happy Deathday Dear Tree" sequel (Threequel?).
There is also a mid credits scene that suggests that if they make more of these they are opting for the Fast and the Furious route of "increasing absurdity", which works pretty well for it really.
Also a rather amusing line given the direction a lot of media is pushing towards these days, "Do I look like the kind of person who knows what a Multiverse is?
