Review – Marvel Legends – Juggernaut Wave – Wolverine

Wolverine is arguably the most popular Marvel comics character.  Spider-man is pretty up there and Deadpool seems to be doing pretty well, but Wolverine is, or at least was at one point, pretty up there.  It’s a shame he doesn’t’ get more Marvel Legends figures really.  I mean I know I complain about all of the dozens of Captain Americas, but Wolverine is way more popular then Cap.  Maybe we just already hit Wolverine Saturation years ago and don’t need more Wolverines?  Who knows. While wolverine has had a few […]

Lameazoid.com – State of the Site Address

Last year, I made a bit of a resolution to make this site, a thing again.  I started out getting back into the habit so to speak with Weekly Haul posts and Agents of SHIELD recaps.  Literally anything else that popped up was gravy.  After keeping this up regularly, I planned to do a re-launch with 2017.  This would shift things up to full speed, and part of the point in having a “launch date” was that I wanted to get out ahead of things. This was when I started […]

Legion – Chapter 4 – What is Real Edition

So, things are moving a long a bit.  We get a little bit of background and insight to the supporting cast, since David is trapped in his mind still. What’s not clear, is if the others are quite free from his mind yet.  I admit, I’m extrapolating a bit from what I’ve read about Legion in the comics, but the TV/ Movie stuff doesn’t always match that stuff. It’s kind of a shame that this is separate from the MCU, since there are mentions of the Astraea plain, like Doctor […]

Review – Transformers – Titans Return – Scourge

Scourge, along with Blurr, is part of the first wave of Titans Returns figures that were not originally Headmasters.  Scourge is a bit of a funny character in terms of picking up “new versions”, because his character’s ability allows him to make clones of himself.  Or maybe it’s just that he commands clones of himself, whatever the case, there is a justifiable reason to have many Scourge toys. Unlike Blurr, who is kind of the star of the wave, Scourge is possibly the worst figure of the first wave.  The […]

Review – S.H. Figuarts Yoshi

While he wasn’t part of the original Super Mario Brothers, in fact, he didn’t come around until much later in the series during the 4th full game, Super Mario World, Yoshi is as iconic to the Mario series as any of the main cast.   The popular Dino has even gotten several of his own spin off games.  He certainly makes sense as an addition to the Mario Figuarts lineup. Yoshi is quite a different little figure than Mario and Luigi, for the obvious reasons that, he’s a Dinosaur and not […]

Review – PC – American Truck Simulator

The Good Strong Developer Support Sprawling environment to explore Straightforward Gameplay The Bad Free drive could be more flexible No official online multiplayer Repetitive gameplay There are a lot of Simulation games out there covering a crazy array of subjects from Farming to Forklift driving.  To some extent, some laws regarding video game content in some European countries can be blamed for this trend.  It’s also nice to be able to do even simple things that you can’t normally do.  A lot of these simulation titles are flat out garbage, […]

Review – Marvel Legends – Wal-Mart Falcon (6″)

Poor Falcon, Major player in 2 Captain America Movies with a guest bit in Ant-Man.  He’s even probably getting groomed  up to be the replacement Captain America, if Bucky doesn’t get there first.  Like Scarlet Witch, he’s gone for too long without getting a 6″ figure.  I imagine a lot of this reason is his huge wings.  This sort of accessory really doesn’t work too well with the current model of figure + BAF part.  That’s probably part of why his release was a Wal-Mart exclusive along with a better […]

Review – Movie – The Wolverine

I’m feeling a little lost on the logic behind the X-Men movies, just a bit.  I mean there’s the original X-men trilogy, then there’s the new timeline X-men, then there’s these Wolverine movies sprinkled in.  The Wolverine definitely takes place after X-men 3, since there’s these little flashes of Famke Janssen as Jean Grey and references to X-men 3.  What it doesn’t really reference at all is Origins: Wolverine, which is sort of the actual predecessor film.  Actually aside from the few almost unneeded references to X3, The Wolverine feels […]
