A Partnership By Ramen Junkie Jacob Hunter walked slower now down the forest path. He was pretty sure he had lost anyone that could be following from Pewter City where he had last been. That Officer Jenny had acted like no one ever tried to steal anything in that city before. Hunter had not run so hard before in his life getting away from her. He help up a wad of cash to count now that he was alone in the forest. "Quite a haul though if I do say so myself," said Hunter to none in particular. "Soon I'll get to even bigger places though. Like Celadon, with all those casinos, those people will be loaded!" Jacob was busy counting his money and imagining the riches he would have one day when he heard singing coming from up ahead. It was a light airy melody that had a strange relaxing effect. He put the money deep in one of his pants pockets and started jogging to find out where the noise was coming from faster. He came upon a small clearing, in the middle there was a strange round pink creature standing on a stump singing. Around the stump there were a few children sleeping. The pink creature stopped singing and looked out to its audience for applause. When it realized the were asleep it frowned and let out a sad "Puff." "Hmm that must be one of those Pokémon, I wonder what kind it is," Hunter said to himself, he hadn't really been interested in Pokémon training and knew very little on the subject. "Boy it's singing put those two right to sleep. Hmm, that gives me an idea." Jacob walked out into the clearing. The Pink Pokémon perked up from its sadness at the site of a new audience. It hopped off the log and wandered over to Jacob, who ignored it for the moment and walked over to the two sleeping people. It was an older couple, probably out for a walk when they stumbled on this singing creature. He reached out and shook the man to wake him. Nothing happened. He shook harder and thumped the man on the head. Still nothing. "Hmm, powerful stuff, all the better." Hunter smiled to himself. The pink creature smacked him on the back and puffed itself up in anger at being ignored. "Puff!" "Hey little guy, I'm sorry, you want to sing me a song?" Hunter asked the creature, the next thing to do was find out if he could resist the creature's power, he had only heard part of the song before but it didn't seem to have any effect, but he had to be sure. The Pink creature nodded and wandered back over to the stump. "Go on then, I'm listening." The Pokémon began to sing its tune again, Jacob went to work relieving the couple of their valuables. After a couple minutes of singing the Pokémon stopped singing and looked out to see if Hunter was still awake. It was partially shocked to find that he indeed was still awake. "Well little guy, that was great," now was the time to real this creature into his plans. If he could make it become his friend he could take it to populated areas and use its tune to put people to sleep, making it all the more easier to increase his own wealth. "Say how's you like to come along with me? Then you could sing to me whenever you wanted. You sound so nice." Jacob smiled at the Pokémon. The Pink Pokémon jumped out and cried out, "Jiggly!" and clapped it's little paws together. "Alright then, what shall I call you. Puffball? Pinky? Nah, those sound too dumb." "Jigglypuff!" cried out the creature. "Hmm… Rolly, no, to weird, Spot maybe, no that's for a dog." Jacob wandered around the clearing thinking. The Pink creature puffed it self up and growled. It then picked up a nearby rock and chucked it at Jacob, smacking him in the back of the head, knocking him over. "Ow! Hey, what is it?" "Jigglypuff!" exclaimed the creature. "What is that your name or something?" Jigglypuff nodded, "Puff!" "Well I guess that works. Jigglypuff it is then. Now shall we continue before they wake up?" Hunter started out of the clearing in the same direction he had been heading. Jigglypuff hopped sown from the log and started after him. "Well Jigglypuff, I'm sure this will be the start of a beautiful thing."
