Poketoberfest!

After completing Pokemon Leaf Green I went and bid on a copy of Emerald on eBay. Unfortunately, like a schmuck, I was sent a bootleg copy of the game!

Outstanding!

So I called the guy on it, cussed him out and demanded a refund, which I got. After that I did the wise thing and simply bought a copy of Emerald from the store. sure it cost me$25 dollars more but it’s worth it.

Speaking of buying Pokemon games over the weekend, I did it at Toys R Us during their “Manaphy event”. The event was pretty uneventful other than finding a new Transformer. There were maybe half a dozen kids in there while I was busy downloading. Also one of the fathers appeared to be a player as well. He went and challenged his son to a match after his download commenting that his level 100 Heracross would wup him. I should have broke in and taken him up on it since his Heracross is weak to my Level 97 Kadabra. There was also some really big “creepy” guy who was just leaving when I got to the games area. Anyway, it was pretty uneventful but I got my Manaphy.

Back to Emerald. I’m teaming up with John over at TheFurryOne.net for Poketoberfest. Basically it’s a pseudo competition run through a Hoenn game. I’m doing emerald, he’s doing Sapphire, I’m pretty sure at least one other person is competing. I’ve never played a Hoenn game before. I can already tell that I’ll be adding a ton of new Pokemon to my National Dex in Diamond.

At the moment I’m about an hour in with one badge. I’ve started with Mudkip because, well, mostly because of that stupid MEME thing about MUDKIPZ.

    Ya know only the rares (starters, latios/latias, regis, Groudon, Kyogre, etc… ;) is what you need to ship to your game, all the other pokemon can be found in diamond and pearl.

    Yeah I know. It’s still fun to play through. Also it’s a bit difficult to get those rares just by using the GTS. Most people only want to trade legendaries for other legendaries.

    Wow good for you….that you got these Pockemon Game… It is really not good to buy things online…….
