The movie toys are a bit random. All of the characters actually appearing in the movie get toys of course. Then there are a few extras thrown in based on drone characters from the video game. That tow truck used to drag Bumblebee around is going to be given the transformer treatment in a future wave.
Then there’s Arcee. Who isn’t in the movie, though I’m not sure about the game. However her design doesn’t reek of “drone with a name” like Swindle and Dreadwing.
According to the photos I’ve seen from people taking the Botcon 2007 tour at Hasbro, Arcee was originally going to be a character in the movie itself.
I’m not sure why she was dropped, I guess the writers thought that people couldn’t relate to a girl robot. Maybe they will save her for the sequel where they can flesh her character out a bit. Whatever the case, she makes a damn fine toy.
My initial reaction upon transforming her was that her robot was an ugly mess. After a bit of toying I’ve realized that it’s much better than I initially though. The poseability is all there where it needs to be. The colors all fit together well though she’s a bit more purple than pink for Arcee. Her funky new short hair style is even pretty spiffy.
Did I mention I love her weapon. Like her previous smaller counterpart she gets a bow and arrow style weapon. It looks fantastic and I love how the bow parts don’t fold out unless the missile is loaded.
This is the second Arcee to transform into a motorcycle and while her transformation is essentially identical to the previous basic counterpart, this toy pulls things off so much better. This is likely due to it’s larger size.
Arcee is probably my favorite movie toy so far, surpassing Jazz in awesomeness.

well i heard tshe was dropped cause ironhide replaced her, but why she was iono, i heard fans complained and stuff. Anyways ironhide trained her so to see her after prolly might work iono.

Should be out now. I’ve seen many reports. Bumblebee is hard to come by however.

About that Figure Arcee shes the hottist ladybot that Bumblebee just want to stare at her forever, but I said Arcee is Bumblebee’s girlfriend and that I would wantd to see that in the next sequel and for the animated series I would add he have a crush in her or he falls in love with her.

I think actually Arcee is Hot Rod’s girlfriend.
Of course the movie doesn’t really care about “G1 Plotlines”.

Well, I’ll said Bumblebee is going to win Arcee from Hot Rod by Sam’s help like the same thing for him winning Mikaela from her old boyfriend from the first film.
