This is one of the few units you can know you’re going to get. It is one of the units included in the Transformers Starter Set. The starter set includes two versions of Skyblast, Overhaul, Dirtboss, and if you find the Wal-Mart bonus set (which I recommend doing), an off color Decepticlone.
Dirtboss is one of the three shooters in the normal 4 figure set, and the only Decepticon. However his design is highly unique among Attacktix. For starters, his missile is a two pronged fork. The idea I suppose is that it will catch around figures and pull them over. Good concept really.
Additionally, his launcher flips up and down from an upright “stored” potition to a forward facing “attack position”. There’s not much point to this function other than helping the figure keep it’s balance.
In practice however the spring in this guy is too weak to be of practical use. My experience with spring strength in shooters hasn’t been good but this guy doesn’t even double as a prodder if needed. I suppose if house rules would let them you could use the fork to pick up a figure and shoot it straight up but pulling that off would be tricky at best.
