My wife is so awesome. She went to Wal-Mart the other night after work and found a ton of Transformers stuff on good deep clearance. The Wal-Mart in Taylorville is actually really good for low prices on Clearance.
Anyway, she started off by finding basic Cybertron figures 5 bucks each. Not super cheap but I had her pick up Shortround and Yellow Scrapmetal anyway. Nextshe came across Metroplex for 15 bucks (down from 40). I had wanted this guy before it went on clearance, no question on this one.
Finally she found the Galactic Showdown Attacktix set. Attacktix is something I’ve been trying to steel clear of because I don’t really need a new Transformers based money sink. The same with the smaller Titaniums. This was 5 bucks though (down from 20). It included 6 figures, 2 of which were “megas”. Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Super Optimus Prime, Megatron, AT-RT, and Omega Sentinel. She picked up a set for me and one for my son.
He got a bunch of Star Wars and a few Transformers Attacktix for Christmas so we’ve got quite a pool going now. We played a few round of the game. It’s pretty neat though Super Optimus Prime is tremendously overpoweringly cheap in terms of defensive capabilities. Our first game had us shooting at eachother with out Primes in the end. Even Prime’s huge missile just bounces off of another Prime.
I think I may do another video post going into more detail tomorrow.

Tread carefully. Attacktix buying may become very addicting. I think I’m finally off my high.

Awe man.. if my walmart here puts attackitx on clearnance i’m screwed.. i’ve been soo trying to keep away from this line…

Sadly they have stopped making the attacktix, but that helps me justify buying every last one up I can find at my local store.
